  • Audit and Verify returning payrolls for
    • Audit payroll reports for accuracy and ensure balance with monthly ADP
    • Ensure manual check entry and correctness to both sides (ADP and MIP).
    • Prepare monthly Payroll
    • Make monthly payroll related entries to general
    • Audit SAY staff Vacation Time, Comp Time, and Sick
    • Prepare Worker's Compensation and SUI
    • Review and submit employee garnishment
    • Review and submit monthly health and dental insurance
    • Enter monthly Accruals and
    • Prepare monthly contract claims
    • Interact with funders as related to contract claims and budget
    • Budget modifications of claims
  • Input contract budgets and
  • Verify payroll deductions, write up check
    • Ensure and maintain confidentiality in all reports and
  • Interact with Human Resources regarding new hires, benefits,
  • Assist with annual
    • Supervision of Payroll Accountant and Payroll Clerk
    • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications):

  • Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in a non-profit
  • At least two years experience with an automated payroll

WORKING CONDITIONS :

ENVIRONMENT: Office setting.  Job could include minimum to high intensity noise level based on whether conducting groups, one-on-one or trainings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and an11S, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and arms to perform repetitive motions; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.     3.  Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, proper reporting, documentation and prevention of medical errors in a non-punitive environment.

    4.  Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends and developments in his/her related scope of practice by reading books, journals and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences and the like.  

    5.  Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities.

    6.  Uses nursing process to provide all levels of patient care:

    Skills / Requirements

    Work Experience:

    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing program, a valid license to practice in the State of Texas and a minimum of one year clinical nursing experience in the area of expertise applied for or a valid permit to practice as a Graduate Nurse (GN).
    • Experienced nurses are defined as having the knowledge and skills commensurate with peers with similar training, and experience functioning on the unit. 
    • Clinical RNs with less than one-year experience in related field will require a nursing internship when changing clinical specialties.
    • New graduates from an accredited School of Nursing with a valid GN permit will be considered and required to successfully complete a nursing internship. 

    License/Registration/ Certification:

    • Work requires a general level of knowledge and clinical competencies as typically acquired through the completion of the education and training requirement below; and current RN permit or licensure issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice professional nursing.  
    • RNs are supported in obtaining certification in their specialty area.
    • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification required. 

    Education & Training

    • Work requires a general level of knowledge and clinical competencies as typically acquired through the completion of an accredited school of nursing program resulting in an Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
